A space for everyone to feel truly welcomed, heard, and seen. We envision an equestrian community where all identities and experiences are valued. The Inclusive Equestrian Collective is committed to challenging exclusion in horsey spaces and creating space for every horse lover out there.
Welcome to The Inclusive Equestrian Collective (TIEC)! Right now, our online community “lives” on Facebook, but we are hoping to eventually be on another platform. By joining, you are committing to be a compassionate community member. This is a brave, safe, and inclusive space for horse enthusiasts, trainers, barn managers, stable owners, horse owners, horse leasers, therapeutic instructors, saddle fitters, equine wellness practitioners, advocates, and supportive community members.
Our Purpose:
☀️ To limit isolation and rejection by cultivating an online space for connection and community.
☀️ To host in-person meetups and events for members to meet, connect, support, laugh, and learn together.
☀️ To connect businesses with clients, individuals to services and/or hobbies, and most of all - to connect all people with their passions
☀️ To provide webinars, workshops, and classes specifically curated for our community.
Join us to connect, learn, and share your passion for horses! While this is a space where individuals can learn and grow, we have a low-to-zero tolerance for harmful shenanigans.
🌎 We will speak neutral or positively about ourselves, which means we will not discuss weight loss, weight gain, or any specific weight numbers in this group.
🌎 Run your posts and replies through this filter before posting (and this is how the group will be moderated): is it kind? is it helpful? is it necessary? is it true?
Trainers: We would love if you introduced yourself, shared your location, and what specifically makes you an inclusive service provider. If possible, please share pictures of your lesson horses so that those of us who need that visual to connect or make the leap can do so. Barn managers & stable owners: After introducing yourself, please share what makes your space truly inclusive and accessible more than just the average farm. Pics, too!
Horse Sales / Leasers: Are you an advocate or ally to our mission and have a horse that would be a great fit for us? Please share because our pool of options can be somewhat limited.
Saddle Fitters: How do you consider the rider when fitting a saddle to a horse? This can be a vulnerable process for us, so please explain how you make unbiased recommendations to benefit both horse and rider.
Stables/Barns: How do you prioritize accessibility and inclusivity in your barn?
